Regular visitors to the Higgledy Garden will know we are running a book on what royal wedding flowers will be chosen for the marriage of William and Kate. Kate is leaving it very late and STILL hasn’t phoned to discuss her order and any bulk buying discount she may be entitled to. {She’s such a ditz bless her!}
So over the next few weeks I shall be looking at what other Royals have used in their wedding bouquets both home and abroad…I of course will add a good dose of gossip and probably a couple of made up rumours to make myself look more knowledgeable.
What Royal wedding flowers did Camilla have?
Camilla had her bouquet designed by the famous Shane O’conolly {We will come in much cheaper than him, Kate…} Lilly of the Valley played a major role in this setup {which is rather ‘last year’ but I suppose it was 2005}
These lilly of the valley were rather nicely carried off by yellow, purple and white primroses which perhaps were a nod to a secretly more flamboyant lady than the press give her favour for? Certainly I have it on good account from my friends at Buck house that she is quite the funny lady and has the house in stitches. Gawd bless her!
I understand that she also carried a sprig of myrtle which had been sent by a well wisher from Cornwall. Myrtle is very ‘old school’ and represents security in a happy marriage.
I’ve suggested that Will and Kate will use Snowdrops and daffodils, just click on the links to read more on my royal wedding flower predictions.
