When I was at University I worked at a Pizza cafe to pay my way and Alan Titchmarsh and his family used to come in frequently. He is a very down to earth and likeable sort of chap. So when I decided to become a gardener it made sense for me to find inspiration from his books.
‘How To Be A Gardener” is a great, easy to digest introduction to the world of gardening. I have used it as a reference book…just dipping in and out when need be but you could equally read it cover to cover.
Everything is clearly laid out with step by step instructions so there is no excuse for error.
If I knew someone who was starting out in the gardening arena then I would say this book is a fab place to start and will help put their best foot forward.
There is also a brilliant chapter on wildlife gardening which is right up my street.
Mine cost me twenty quid but I believe it is cheaper on Amazon.
Happy reading folks!
