Verbena bonariensis is of course a classic. Although it is strictly a short lived perennial, it can be grown as a hardy annual. Verbena has proved itself to be a very handy chappie in the cutting garden and works effectively in both old school ‘country style’ posies, and quirky contemporary arrangements.
Verbena has the added bonus of being very wildlife friendly, encouraging hordes of butterflies and bees.
