Ok…I know this isn’t a traditional cut flower but it is super useful both as an edible flower and also as a cheery chap around the garden…it can scramble over fences…up pea sticks…netting…or tumble from containers. My grandparents used to grow it…so it would seem fitting that I do too.
‘Scarlet Munchkin’ is a Higgledy Garden variety…unheard of in the world outside.
Nasturtiums like a well drained soil…and a poor soil is best. I thin my plants out to about a foot.
30ish seeds in a packet
Sow in April and May directly into the soil is best I find…about 3/4 inch deep.
Will flower from late June through until October.
