Hardy Annuals Collection.
I thought I’d put a bundle of a dozen packets of seeds together in a collection with a juicy discount (and free shipping) for those wishing to try their hand at autumn sowing.
These can be sown outside in late August/early September…or (as I do)…sow into pots and keep under glass until March/April.
Autumn sown annuals will produce much bigger and stronger and earlier plants than their spring sown chums. I would suggest sowing half the seeds now and keeping half back for the spring, this way you will get a very long flowering season.
I’ve chosen these beasties for the collection because they have a good range of colour and form, and they are reliable….with the exception of Larkspur who can be a fickle fellow to germinate…but nothing ventured nothing gained (and all that).
…so…what goodies will you receive in your parcel?
*Cornflower ‘Blue Ball’
*Calendula ‘Art Shades’
*Calendula ‘Ice Maiden’ (I’ve put two calendulas in as they do so well from an autumn sowing)
*Eschscholzia ‘Orange King’
*Phacelia (The bees will love you for this.)
*Chrysanthemum ‘Rainbow Hippy Lovechild’
*Larkspur ‘Giant Imperials’
*Nigella ‘Persian Jewels’
*Salvia ‘Blue Monday’
*Candytuft (Iberis) ‘Crown’
…I might even chuck in a Higgledy postcard if you’ve been good.
There are just 150 of these collections available.

PS The pic is one I took today of the boat and Flash…some of those flowers are hardy annuals but many aren’t. If you are unsure of what any of the above look like you will find photos of them in the shop. :)
