We’re giving ‘Red Torch’ a year off….in other words the last harvest of seeds looked a bit shoddy so we don’t want to sell them…
Tithonia…otherwise known as the Mexican Sunflower has long been a favourite in the cutting patches of great and the good. ‘Torch’ can grow to well over six foot in the right conditions…sheltered and super sunny. A multi branching plant that will produce heaps of blooms for your vase.
Beautiful yellow, daisy-like flowers on long stems. Tithonia will last a week as a cut flower.
40ish seeds in a packet
120 cm tall
Sow seeds undercover in March/April undercover…plant out after the frosts. Or sow outside in May and hope for a cracking summer.
